Wrinkle relaxing treatments
*All injectables are subject to consultation prior to appointment*
Wrinkle-relaxing treatments are made from a naturally occurring bacterial protein that has been FDA-approved and used for over 20 years in medical and cosmetic applications with no known adverse effects. It formulates a non-surgical, facial aesthetic procedure, temporarily reducing moderate to severe wrinkles and facial lines. Treatment time is very quick; most treatment procedures should take about 10 minutes, with no necessary recovery time. Every patient is very different, but treatment usually lasts for approximately 3-6 months. Treatment is usually recommended to be repeated 2-3 times a year.
Tiny doses of the substance are injected under the skin into the muscles that are treated to reduce wrinkles. It specifically blocks the nerve impulse, allowing these muscles responsible for the excessive contractions that cause wrinkles to relax.
The most common areas treated are frown lines, forehead lines, and crows feet, yet other areas may also be treated. It may also be used to control excessive sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis.)
FAQs
How quickly will I notice the results?
You will notice a significant improvement within a few days of the treatment being done. Improvements continue for the month following treatment, where the treated area appears smooth and less wrinkled; the untreated areas remain unaffected.
Is the treatment expensive, and safe, and am I suitable?
Compared to other options, anti-wrinkle injections are quite affordable. Injections are recognized as one of the safest cosmetic treatments. Side effects are rare and temporary. Some possible side effects may include bruising at the injection site, headaches, temporary eyelid droop, nausea, and cold & flu-like symptoms. Treatment is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding patients. Other medical complications may be highlighted in your medical history taken before treatment, which may render you unsuitable for the treatment to be provided. Injections are suitable for men as well as women.
How much will it cost?

Aftercare tips
For at least 4 hours after treatment: keep upright and don't bend excessively.
For 12 hours after treatment: avoid extreme facial expressions, avoid excessive alcohol consumption and avoid wearing make-up
For 2 days after a treatment: don't rub or massage the treated area as this may cause the injected solution to spread to nearby muscles. After washing, pat the skin dry very gently with a soft towel.
For 2 weeks after treatment: avoid exposure to strong sunlight, very cold temperatures and saunas. Don't have any beauty treatments on your face e.g. facials, or facial massage.
